STOP PRESS! All new HeartWatch 4 available 20 March. It's a free update to all existing HeartWatch customers. Top 5 in Health & Fitness in 63 countries! Unlock the power of your Apple Watch's health sensors.
Your Apple Watch is a highly sophisticated instrument, measuring and capturing your heart rate data and much more throughout the day.
When it comes to heart, HeartWatch lets you see how your heart is beating across four simple views. Waking, Regular, Workout & Sleeping. Each of these views are isolated because, while you may want a higher heart rate during a workout, if your heart is racing when you aren't doing any exercise then this is likely not a good thing and probably something you might want to show your medical practitioner.
HeartWatch gives you an easy solution to this. It accesses your heart rate & workout readings created by your Apple Watch and unlocks the power of this information in a simple, intuitive way.
Heart badges extended.

For regular* heart rate readings, the ideal is to have a completely blue badge. The bigger the red ring around the badge, the more time spent with an elevated heart rate. Even though averages can appear to be similar, the badge shows a clear picture of how your heart has really been tracking and alerts you about excessively high or low readings.
*regular: time spent not sleeping nor working out.
Workouts. Get into the zone.

Color keyed zones are shown for warmup/health, fat burning, fitness, high intensity and extreme. It even taps you as you change zones and buzzes you if you reach the extreme zone.
Tappable widgets let you see the best info for the type of workout that you are doing. This includes calories, steps, distance, average speed and laps. There's even a new dual timer mode which lets you time rest between sets for interval training.
When you finish your workout you'll find a zonal badge on your iPhone that you can touch to analyse.
Complication. Alerts. Pulse.

This will take five measurements and then buzz you when it has finished. It means that you can even close your eyes and lie down to get a true resting pulse. No need to keep looking at the watch either as it all works in the background even when the screen is off!
Sleep.
